The Seattle Housing Authority, a nationally recognized
leader in developing and maintaining affordable, innovative housing programs
and communities, is accepting applications for Housing Choice Voucher Manager.
This position has the responsibility to plan, organize,
manage, lead and provide administrative direction and oversight for functions
and activities of the Housing Choice Voucher Department, including policies
concerning resident eligibility, leasing, occupancy, rent increases, housing
inspection, quality assurance, ownership processing, and other activities
related to a wide variety of rental assistance and affordable housing programs;
coordinates assigned activities with other agency departments, outside
agencies, and the public; interacts regularly with regulatory agencies and various
public and private groups; provides assistance and makes recommendations on
policy issues to the Housing Choice Voucher Director. Demonstrated
leadership skills are essential for the successful candidate. Ten (10) years of
progressively responsible rental assistance or program management experience,
including at least five (5) years in a supervisory or management capacity.
Minimum
Qualifications:
A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in Community Development, Public
Administration, Social Sciences, or a related field, however, may
substitute an additional four years relevant work experience for the required
degree. Plus ten (10) years of progressively responsible rental assistance or
program management experience, including at least five (5) years in a
supervisory or management capacity.
