Executive Director, Trenton Housing Authority

The Trenton Housing Authority, Trenton, New Jersey, is seeking a highly qualified and vision-oriented professional for the position of executive director.

Trenton Housing Authority administers 1,596 units of public housing, of which 411 are senior/disabled, operating in conformance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations.  The executive director is responsible to a seven-person Board of Commissioners for all aspects of the housing authority’s operations, including administration, management, maintenance, capital fund program, and financial control.  The executive director serves as secretary to the Board of Commissioners.

The successful candidate must have a thorough knowledge of HUD programs, policies, and procedures; have a minimum of five years experience in public housing management, public administration, public finance, or similar professional employment related to the management of multi-family housing.  Must be PHM certified or able to attain certification within one (1) year of hire; and possess a four-year degree in public administration, business administration, finance or a related field.
