For an episode of Freddie Mac’s Multifamily Podcast, Freddie Mac’s Vice President of Research & Modeling Steve Guggenmos and Director of Community Mission and Impact Finance Corey Aber spoke to HUD Office of Recapitalization Director Tom Davis about the Rental Assistance Demonstration (RAD) Program. Davis, a RAD expert, discussed the history, components, and future of the program, noting that RAD includes explicit tenant protection provisions, provides financing and asset management flexibilities for PHAs, and offer PHAs the ability to preserve and improve their aging public housing stock.
