Resident Advisory Board Making Strides (Housing Authority of the County of San Bernardino)

From the Housing Authority of the County of San Bernardino's (HACSB) press release:

Our agency is not only a housing provider and developer, but also a community resource and advocate for the residents of San Bernardino County. HACSB’s Resident Advisory Board (RAB) is comprised of current residents from our various housing programs. They meet monthly to be the representative voice of all HACSB residents providing feedback and discussing critical issues that may affect HACSB residents and San Bernardino County as a whole. Not only do they make a difference in the lives of others, but they are also growing personally and professionally through their experiences participating on the RAB.

One RAB member states, “Being a part of this board has given me the motivation to keep moving forward with my dreams. I went back to school and continue to set goals so that I can achieve what I have always wanted.” Another member goes on to say, “We are a family. When one of us needs to talk about an issue, we listen to each other and gain different perspectives about what is going on. I’ve learned how to communicate better with others, and listen. I have also learned that my opinion matters.”
