Last month, Comcast Newsmakers interviewed Michelle Sandidge, chief community affairs officer of the Housing Authority of the City of Pittsburgh, about HACP’s efforts to advance and improve service delivery for residents during the pandemic with the help of local partnerships.
“What we do is housing, but we also build homes,” Ms. Sandidge told interviewer Tate Blanchard. Sandidge discussed the wide array of programs and services HACP offers to its nearly 20,000 residents, from those focused on senior citizens, internet access, food access, and health and wellness to those that advance early childhood education and literacy. She credited partners such as 412 Food Rescue, Pittsburgh Public Schools, and Comcast with helping HACP run these programs and serve residents both before and during the COVID-19 pandemic.
