Join us for the third of a four-part webinar series co-hosted by CLPHA and the Campaign for Grade-Level Reading.
Webinar: The Power of Public Housing and Public School Partnerships - Spotlight on Boston
In early 2020, recognizing a need to support families and children facing homelessness and at risk of displacement, the Boston Housing Authority partnered with the Boston Public Schools (BPS) and their non-profit partner FamilyAid Boston, to issue tenant-based Housing Choice Vouchers to hundreds of families with children attending BPS. Two years later, this successful effort has set the stage for deeper partnerships to support BPS children living in public housing to advance their educational outcomes.
Join us for the third session in a four-part series of Housing as a Platform webinars co-hosted by the Council of Large Public Housing Authorities and the Campaign for Grade-Level Reading, where speakers representing this diverse set of partner agencies and organizations will discuss how they worked together to implement this new approach to supporting children and families and explore the next steps in their collaboration.
Confirmed Speakers:
- David Gleich, Chief Officer of Leased Housing, Boston Housing Authority
- Brian Marques, Senior Director of Opportunity Youth, Boston Public Schools
- Larry Seamans, President, FamilyAid Boston
