From HACLA's website article:

On August 3, 2023, the Housing Authority of the City of Los Angeles (HACLA) joined the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), local leaders and Related California (Related), to celebrate the grand reopening and 20th anniversary of Pueblo del Sol, a community of 376 100% affordable apartments located in the Boyle Heights neighborhood. The 35-acre formerly distressed public housing site, previously known as Aliso Village, was the largest public housing revitalization in California. 20 years ago, the entire neighborhood was revitalized into a new mixed-income community that now includes several large tot lots and play areas, a 1.5-acre park, a new MTA-transit stop, and the Mendez Learning Center, a neighborhood magnet high school. Community amenities include a 6,000 square foot management center with swimming pool and community center facility with after-school programs, computer lab, and resident services.

The event celebrated HACLA and Related’s resyndication and renovation of Pueblo Del Sol that included upgrading residential buildings, community building, community center and community park—which was reconfigured into a children’s play area with a refurbished playground for children 5-12 years of age, a new community garden, fenced dog parks, BBQs, and seating areas with tables, chairs and lounges.
