How the Wilmington Housing Authority plans to use a nonprofit to create affordable housing

The Delaware Affordable Housing Group has recently started constructing affordable housing units on Bennett Street in Wilmington's East Side neighborhood.

This project closely follows the nonprofit's acquisition of the Elwyn Building, also located in the East Side neighborhood.

To gain more insight into the connection between the Wilmington Housing Authority and the Delaware Affordable Housing Group, we interviewed Raymond Fitzgerald, the Executive Director of the Wilmington Housing Authority.

Fitzgerald, who previously served as the director of the Delaware Division of Social Services, has held this position for over two years.
