HUD Awards 8 CLPHA Members Grants for Safety and Security

HUD has announced $10 million has been awarded to 56 PHAs for capital improvements that enhance safety and security for residents, including to eight CLPHA members. These awards were made from HUD’s Capital Fund Emergency Safety and Security Program.  

These grants may be used to install, repair, or replace capital equipment or systems, including security systems/surveillance cameras, fencing, lighting systems, emergency alarm systems, window bars, deadbolt locks, doors, and carbon monoxide detectors.

CLPHA members that received awards include:  

  • Housing Authority of the City of Los Angeles 
  • Sacramento Housing & Redevelopment Agency 
  • Elm City Communities 
  • Wilmington, DE Housing Authority 
  • Indianapolis Housing Agency 
  • Cuyahoga Metropolitan Housing Authority 
  • Norfolk Redevelopment & Housing Authority 
  • Vancouver Housing Authority
