HUD has published the FY23 Jobs Plus Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO), which makes $22.5 million available to PHAs for helping families increase earned income. Applications will be due on August 21, 2023. HUD anticipates making 12 awards under this NOFO, and each grant size will be between $1.6 million to $3.7 million.

PHAs that may apply for funding under this NOFO include those that received FY 2014, FY 2015, FY 2016, FY2017, or FY2018 Jobs Plus grants. PHAs that received a Jobs Plus program grant for FY 2019, FY 2020-2021, or FY 2022 are not eligible for an award under this NOFO.

This NOFO greatly expands the list of eligible properties. Newly eligible PHAs and projects include projects with a minimum size of 100 households where at least one resident in each of the households is non-elderly (less than age 65), and properties where at least 40 percent of the households (excluding households consisting only of elderly residents) that report no earned income in PIC.
