CLPHA was deeply saddened to learn of Tony Pérez’s passing earlier this week. As CLPHA Executive Director Sunia Zaterman said last year upon his retirement, Tony was a committed and compassionate leader of the Housing Authority of the City Milwaukee, on the CLPHA board, and in the national housing policy arena. His thoughtful and steadfast advocacy on behalf of our nation's most vulnerable individuals was unmatched. His untiring support for CLPHA's Housing Is Initiative and cross-sector partnerships made improving lives, strengthening neighborhoods a reality in Milwaukee. His wisdom, erudition and joyfulness lifted up all those who know him. We will miss Tony deeply.
